Chicken Poultry Project – Building Food Security and Income Generation
The Chicken Poultry Project is one of Tolinda Foundation’s most impactful community programs, designed to promote food security, create jobs, and empower local farmers. Recognizing that agriculture remains the backbone of many local economies, this initiative equips youth and women with practical poultry farming skills that lead to sustainable livelihoods.
Through the project, participants receive training on modern poultry management, including feeding techniques, disease control, and farm hygiene. We also provide starter kits, chicks, and technical guidance to help small-scale farmers establish and grow their poultry businesses.
Beyond training, the project builds strong market linkages, connecting farmers with reliable suppliers and buyers to ensure consistent income and growth. It also creates employment opportunities for young people across the poultry value chain — from hatchery management and feed production to distribution and marketing.
The Chicken Poultry Project embodies Tolinda Foundation’s mission of empowering communities through knowledge, innovation, and self-reliance, proving that with the right support, local farmers can become drivers of both economic and nutritional transformation.
